Billy Matthews

Hartselle--Funeral for Billy Matthews, 47, of Route 1 Somerville will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kelly officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Matthews died Friday at Decatur General Hospital. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a Vietnam War veteran and an employee of Wolverine Tube Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Matthews; five sons, Billy Hughes Matthews Jr. and Paul Hudson, both of Rogersville, Ronnie Shiver, Jack Shiver and Paul Shiver, all of Dothan; two daughters, Melissa Eller and Sherri McCammon, both of Decatur; his Mother, Mildred Matthews of Flint City; one brother, Martin Matthews of Arab; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Matthews, Roy Daniels, Ellis Johns, Terry Spain, Zahn Newcomb, and James Terrell.
