Emanuela (Mattei) DeNicola, 91, of Melrose, formerly a longtime resident of East Boston, died May 6, 2012. She came to the United States in 1954 from Italy. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Michele DeNicola; loving mother of Raffaela Phyllis Natola of Wakefield, Anthony DeNicola and his wife Linda of Braintree, Anna Marie King and her husband Wayne of Wakefield, and Michael DeNicola and his wife Sandra of Melrose; cherished grandmother of Marisa, Amy, Rebecca, Amanda, Andrew, Danielle, Michael Jr., Matthew, Alex and Lisa; great-grandmother of Aaron, Emilie, Aiden and Christopher; dear sister of the late Amalia, Michele and Mario. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in Italy. Funeral from the Rapino Memorial Home, 9 Chelsea St. (Maverick Square), East Boston, Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 404 Sumner St., East Boston, at 10 a.m. The family will receive visitors Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
