EDNA ANDERSON

Mrs. Ben Anderson, 69, of 2112 Emmett St., Two Rivers, died at Two Rivers
Municipal Hospital at 11 a.m., Wednesday, where she had been a patient two
days.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church
at Mishicot, the Rev. Edward Zell officiating. Interment will be in Mishicot
Public Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson, nee Edna Matherson, was born in Vasa, Finland, on June 17, 1885,
a daughter of the late John and Bertha Matherson. In 1906 she immigrated to
this country and took up her home at Ashland, Wis., where in 1914 she was
married to Ben Anderson. After their marriage the couple moved to Odanah, Wis.,
where the husband worked in a lumber mill. Later the family lived at Winchester,
Vilas County, and Hiles, Forest County, coming to Mishicot in 1943. Two years
ago Mrs. Anderson and husband moved to Two Rivers.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Anderson leaves three daughters; Mrs. Oscar Elliott
of Two Rivers, Mrs. Chester Hansen of Milwaukee and Mrs. Allan Harvey of Two
Rivers; a son, Rudolph Anderson of Two Rivers; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Hoglund
of Iron Mountain, Mich., a twin sister Mrs. Louise Engberg of El Cerrito, Calif.;
and Ina and Hanna in Finland, and and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Specht Funeral Home at Mishicot from ? p.m. Thursday
until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be taken to the church where the
body will lie in state until the time of service.
