Daughter of John and Catherine (Bantom) Walters. Married William Barcley (Bat) Masterson on November 21, 1891 at Denver, Colorado.

"New York, July 13 -(AP)- Funeral arrangements were being completed today for Mrs. Emma Walters Masterson, 75, widow of William Barcley (Bat) Masterson who as deputy United States Marshall for the southern district of New York, sheriff of Dodge City, Kan., and a soldier in the west was one of the famous foes of "bad" men.

Mrs. Masterson was found dead yesterday in her apartment where she had lived alone for three years."
