Marilyn Ann Letson, age 59, of Farwell, passed away on November 6, 1992, in the Ingham Medical Center at Lansing.
She was born on May 20, 1933, in Clare, the daughter of Stanley and Greta (Cogland) Masten. She was a life-long resident of the Clare area, with the exception of four years spent in Florida.
A 1950 honor graduate of Clare High School, Mrs. Letson spent much of her life in the field of music. She had been organist and choir director at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Clare for many years, and she also taught private piano lessons at her home.
Surviving are her husband, Richard; one daughter, Jane and Elwood Brown of Gaylord; two sons, James Lamont of Lake, and Jon and Elizabeth Lamont; eight grandchildren; and her mother Greta Masten of Clare. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Douglas, and a baby son, Douglas.
Funeral services were held on November 10 in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Terry Kenitz officiating. Burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorials are suggested to the Prince of Peace Building Fund. Arrangements were by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home of Clare.
