Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Campbell Funeral Home in Coatesville for Mrs. Laura Elrod, age 87, who died at the home of her son, Claude, southwest of Coatesville, Christmas day. She had been ill only three days from pneumonia. She was the widow of William Elrod who died a number of years ago.
Born near Coatesville, her maiden name was Laura Masten and she spent her entire life in that community. The Rev. James Burroughs was in charge of the services and burial was in Stilesville cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Claude and Vern, of Coatesville, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Walter Buis of Greencastle and Frank Elrod of Coatesville.
