He worked at Litchfield Lumber, Lakeview Lumber, Anderson Woodcraft, Emmanuel Nursing Home, and Innovex. During his working years, he also owned and operated Will's Window and Screen Repair for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Gladys; a brother, Frank; and father-in-law Ervin Haag.

The funeral service took place Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with the Rev. Christian Muellerleile officiating.

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, and continued Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was in the Lake Ripley Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.

Will was my uncle. Even though we lived in different states all of my life, he made our family get togethers feel like we all lived next door. My dad, loved his big brother with all his heart and thought he hung the moon! I happen to agree. You're loved and missed more than you'll ever know Uncle Will.
