Obituary:

DELL MASSEY BULLER, 76, passed away Monday, December 15, 2003. Born in San Angelo March 8, 1927, Nora Dell Massey Buller (Dell), graduated from University of Texas in 1948, and from University of Houston with a Masters of Education in 1978. Dell taught high school math for nearly twenty years in Spring Branch Independent School District. A leader in her church and community, Dell served as both Deacon and Elder in Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. She was a life member of Texas State Teachers Association; a life member of Retired Teachers of Texas; a long time active member of the American Association of University Women; a member of Geophysical Society Auxillary; and a long time member and officer of her investment club. A devoted wife and mother as well as a committed professional, Dell's faith, caring, and hospitality were legend to family and friends, and she opened house and heart to many. She lived out the end of her life in her home, surrounded by family, friends, and loving caregivers - as befits a lifetime that included caregiving for so many others. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Keith Buller; son, Brian Craig; and granddaughter Jessie Whitebird. She is survived by her son, Scott Whitebird and daughter-in-law, Dianne Kraft; son, Alan Buller and daughter-in-law, Sara Buller; grandson, Lucas Flynn Buller; brother, Tom Massey; sister, Lila Jo Stassney; and an abundance of nephews, nieces, cousins, and additional family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2003 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Reverend David Burns officiating. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2003 at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, 1215 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please remember Dell with donations to Spring Branch Presbyterian Church or the AAUW, a fund for encouraging young women to study math or science.
