Blanche G. Marvin passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Ridgecrest Healthcare Center, Ridgecrest, CA.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Marvin (Linda) of Ridgecrest, CA, granddaughter; Suzanne Barker (Brian) of Ridgecrest, CA and great-grandsons, Michael and Corbin Barker.
Blanche was the only child of Earl Fink and Harriet (Brown) Fink and was born on August 24, 1921 in Wellsboro, PA. Earl was a professional baseball player and, after the Finks divorced, Harriet and Blanche moved to Rochester, NY where she married Charles Dornbrach. After the death of Charles, Harriet and Blanche moved to Wellsboro, where Blanche met and married Eric Marvin and their only child, Ronald, was born. Soon after, their Army life began and the moved to Panama, Fort Lee, VA and their favorite station, Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC where Eric served many years in the Dental Clinic.
They settled in Ridgecrest, CA in 1983. Eric died in 1995 and Harriet died in 2000.
