Baby Clara had lived in the Orphan's Home at 1212 E 1300 S in Salt Lake City since birth.
Never a very healthy baby, she was eventually sent to the Holy Cross Hospital. There, Clara fell ill with an infulenza that was going around. She died a week later, at the age of six months.
Clara was preceded in death by her brother, Mariano, in 1922.
