Lucille Helen Cavis, sadly passed away Wednesday, 6:12 a.m., on the morning of October 31, 2007. The little girl from Pasamonte. Born February 5, 1930, married her blue eyed cowboy named Allan Winn Cavis from Liberal, KS. Together they settled in Albuquerque in 1954 where they raised their soon to be magnificent seven, Stanley Alfred, Robert Leonard, Buckley Allan, Leslie Lloyd, Wesley Zane, Gerald Anthony, and James Rodger. Lucille is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Ruby, Diane, Jan, Mary, Rebecca, Melinda, Linda, Tipuwan, Jody, and Karen; grandchildren, Scott, Teddy, Brandon, Alexa, Laura, Todd, Nick, Zachery, Jessup, Icle, Katy, Tamara, Tony, Justin and Jared. Lucille was also raising her great-great-granddaughter, Kanani Rachel Cavis. She is also survived by her sisters, Maryanne Bullard and Margaret Sanchez; brother, Joe Martinez; and best friend, Tinky Lopez. Lucille was preceded in death by her sister, Rafelita Velasquez; and brother, Frank Martinez. Lucille epitomized the Cavis family, she was the back bone of strength, determination, hard work, justice, compassion, and attitude. She was known, loved and respected by all who knew her. All of the angels in Heaven are weeping. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Sunday, November 4, 2007, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3411 Candelaria Rd.
