Funeral services for Charlsey Claudine Martin Drake will be held Wednesday, August 24th, at 10:00 am at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23rd, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm, with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00.

Claudine died at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home on August 21, 2011.

Daughter of Carl and Elva Martin, she was born in Agnos, AR, on August 7, 1930.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Boyce, daughter Sheila Drake Corbett of Mountain Home, son Jackie (Sue) of Collierville, TN, and son Mark (Annette) of Springdale. One of Claudine's greatest joys came from countless hours with her six grandchildren, Mary Frances Ruthven Hemm (Bill) of Fayetteville, Melissa Ruthven Coleman (Karl) of Bentonville, Dr. Jay Drake of Collierville, TN, Thomas Drake of Collierville, TN, Devin Drake (Jennifer) of Stuttgart and Ashton Drake of Fayetteville. She also treasured her time with her three great-granddaughters, Anna, Lauren and Leah Grace Hemm of Fayetteville. Claudine is also survived by two sisters, Billie Jo Moss and Marge Bridges (Bob), and four brothers, Keith (Fern), Paul Gene (Helen), Ray (Susie), and Michael (Debbie).

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Arnold and Haskell.

Claudine and Boyce were married on October 1, 1949, in Mountain Home. They lived in Salem and Mountain Home for 23 years while Boyce worked for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative. In 1972, Boyce was promoted and they relocated to Camden where they lived for 19 years. They then retired and moved back to Mountain Home where they have lived happily since. Claudine was best known for her home cooking, especially her fried chicken, cornbread dressing, and homemade pies.

Claudine was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home. Memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church building fund or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home.
