Uncle Brad, or "Unc" as he liked to be called, was born on April 12, 1946 in Oakland, CA to Margaret Elizabeth Leeson Martin and Francisco Michael Martin.
As a young man Brad developed a lifetime love and career in culinary arts. Making people happy through delicious food became a passion which he shared with everyone. Brad is a member in good standing in the LDS faith, where he served in many callings.
At 19, he became the youngest Explorer leader in the Bay Area and treasured his experiences with the scouts. Later, Brad developed a passion for missionary work and gave all he had to the Lord and the missionaries he worked with.
Brad is survived by his sister Susan Lynn Ridge and two nephews, Douglas and Donald Ridge, all of CA.
Funeral Services will be held in LDS Chapels in Salt Lake City and Tooele, Utah on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
The Salt Lake services will be held in the Eighth Ward Chapel at 500 South 300 East, beginning with a viewing at 8:30 a.m. and a funeral at 9:30. The Tooele service will be in the Broadway Chapel at 1000 North 350 East, with a viewing at 12:00 p.m. and funeral at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be held in the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 100 East, at 2:30 p.m.
