On January 2, 1921 the death angel visited the home of M.J. Barton and took his wife and companion home to glory, Mary S.Marsh Barton was born May 30, 1853, was married to M.J. Barton on September 2, 1873, and died on January 2, 1921.
She was the daughter of William and Minerva F. Gum Marsh, born and raised on Long Fork Creek near Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Professed religion as an early age. She leaves a husband, two brothers, James W. Marsh of Fort Worth, Texas; and W. S. Marsh of Humbolt, Nebraska and nine children to mourn her loss
