C.F. "Buddy" Marley, age 85 of Rowlett, TX, passed away November 5, 2012. He was born December 20, 1926, in Hopkins County, TX, to Charles and Dolly (Pickle) Marley. Buddy served his country in the U.S. Army and worked in the Oil Well Division of U.S. Steel until his retirement. He attended the Baptist church.
Buddy is survived by his wife: Mary Marley of Rowlett; son: Dan Marley and wife Kellee of Rockwall, TX; daughters: Melissa Marley of Rowlett, Brenda Harper and husband Steven of Garland, TX, and Sharon Phillips and husband David of Rowlett; sister: Eva Patterson of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Blake, Clay, Matthew, Erin, Ryan and Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Lucille Parrish, Lorene Edgington and Marie Ray; and brother: Fred Marley.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel with Deacon Paul Husting officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
