Mrs. Grace Edith Kientz, 101, of Topeka, formerly of Valley Falls, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 23, 2007. She was born July 10, 1905, at Neeley in Jefferson County, KS, the daughter of Arthur Lynn and Olive (Alexander) Mark.

For many years Grace worked at the Corner Drug Store in Valley Falls. She is a former member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church; and a member and past-president of the Auxiliary to Grahem-Herbers Post # 3084, V.F.W. She was also a member of the Forget-Me-Nots and Sunset Haven Quilting Group, both of Valley Falls.

Grace was married to Albert Kientz who preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Ray Lynn Kientz in 2002, and Darwin Kientz in 1997.

Surviviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Anita and Duane Sanderson of Tecumseh; a son: Dana Kientz of Valley Falls; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Committal of cremains will be at 11:00 AM, Fri., March 2, 2007, at McLouth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace E.
