GREENSBORO - Mrs. Rosa Lee Maness Curtis Bowman, 87, of Brown Summit, died Friday, January 5, 2007, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, at Gethsemane United Methodist Church with the Reverends Pat Jenkins and Franklin Bowman officiating. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Randolph County, June 27, 1919, to William R. and Lovedy Jordan Maness. She was an active member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, a member of the Friendship Sunday School class, and Craft Friendly Folks Club.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Finley Curtis and Charles Howard Bowman.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by her son, George F. Curtis and wife, Josephine, of Poquoson, Va.; grandsons, Todd Curtis and wife, Margie, Scott Curtis and wife, Cameron, all of Virginia; step-daughters Margaret Fagg and husband, Kenneth, of Greensboro, Sanna Osborne and husband, Ben, of Springfield, Va., Mary Frances Linde and husband, Kent, of Atlanta, Ga.; stepson, Garry W. Bowman and wife, Sherri, of Greensboro; numerous step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
