TOGETHER AGAIN
OGDEN -- Mildred Blaylock Malan, 87, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 22, 2001.
She was born July 28, 1913 in North Ogden, Utah, a daughter of John Quincy and Emily L. Berrett Blaylock. She married Fred W. Malan on March 2, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1993.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and a lifelong resident of Ogden.
Our beautiful mother and grandmother lived her life in service to her family, church and neighbors, the doors of her home and heart were always open. She lovingly raised a large family and enjoyed and influenced every grandchild. Hers was a joyous existence including the challenges, and great fortune was obtained in its truest conception. The melody of her life reverberates throughout those who were fortunate enough to come in contact with her. We thank her for her life.
Surviving are two sons and four daughters, Kent B. (Rosalyn) Malan, Farr West; John F. Malan, Ogden; Mrs. Delon (Linda) Hughes, Ogden; Mrs. Earl (Anne) Heninger, Pleasant View; Mrs. Verlin (Phyllis) Malloy, Citrus Heights, Calif.; Mrs. Vernon (Adele) Cutler, Tremonton; 22 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth B. Whitehead, Ogden; and her twin, Naoma Bodily, Farmington.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Scott B. Malan, Garth B. Malan; three brothers; and one sister.
