Mrs. Emily Pauline Farley, Ogden pioneer, died Saturday evening at 10:35 o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.J. Maddock, 549 Cross street, at the age of 86. Mrs. Farley was one of the pioneers who walked across the plains, coming to Ogden 71 years ago. She had made her home here ever since. Mrs. Farley was born on September 25, 1839, in Italy. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Maddock, and a son, Edwrd C. Farley of Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are a brother, Stephen Malan of Salt Lake, who is 91 years old; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Eighth ward chapel with Bishop Joseph F. Barker presiding. The body may be viewed at the home of the daughter on Tuesday evening and also on Wednesday until time of services. The Malan mortuary is in charge.
