Gearldean Mahoney, age 50, of New Castle, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Baptist North East Hospice Center. She was the daughter of the late Omer and Sally Marie Moore Harp and employee of Wal-Mart.
She is survived by her husband, Edford Mahoney, Sr., New Castle; one son, Edford "Tiger" Mahoney Jr., LaGrange; two sisters: Elaine Boler, Campbellsburg and Barbara Gonzales, New Castle; one brother, Michael Harp, Campbellsburg; four half sisters, three half brothers and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 19, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Andy Murray of New Castle officiated. Interment was in Franklinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dallas Boler, Jack Cummins, Kevin Flood, Denny Washburn, Owen Heitzman and Edford Mahoney, Jr.
