Josie M. Delgado, age 76, passed away on January 11, 2005 in Santa Rosa following an illness.
Josie was born March 11, 1928 in Colonias, NM to the home of Benito and Maria Baca Maestas.
Josie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orlando Delgado, son, Joseph Delgado, grandson, Francisco Delgado, sister, Lala M. Chavez and brother, Horacio Maestas. Survivors include her children, Daniel Delgado and his wife, Cecilia of Cuba, NM, Mark Delgado of Albuquerque, Orlando Delgado and his wife, Maida of Albuquerque, Richard Delgado and his wife, Julie of Santa Rosa, David Delgado of Santa Rosa, Steven Delgado and his wife, Geraldine of Albuquerque, Martin Delgado and his wife, Paula of Bowie, Maryland, Dominic Delgado and his wife, Rebecca of Albuquerque, her daughter, Linda Padilla and her husband, Rayne of Albuquerque, daughter-in-law, Maria Chavez Delgado of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers, Benny Maestas and his wife, Dolores and Meliton Maestas and his wife, Rosie and her sister, Gloria Rivera, all of Santa Fe.
Prayer services will be held on Friday evening, January 14, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with her cousin, Father Bill Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
