"Hallie Erwin -- Memorial services for Hallie A. Erwin, 69, a resident of Modesto for 26 years who died Saturday night in a local rest home after a long illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home in charge. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow. A native of North Carolina, she had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Empire Grange and the El Rio Chapter 333, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors are her widower, Lloyd, a son, Harold L. Erwin of Modesto, a daughter, Phyllis N. Bashor of Ben Lomond; a sister, Anita McNeil of Missouri; three brothers, William Macy of Nebraska, Raymond and Donald Macy, both of Colorado, and eight grandchildren. The family requests remembrances be made to the Arthritis and Rheumatic Foundation, North California Chapter, 1266 Post St., San Francisco."
