Elaine G. Mackie, age 88, of Hoffman Estates formerly of the Carpentersville & Algonquin areas passed away on Saturday at the Alden Poplar Creek Healthcare Center in Hoffman Estates. Elaine was born on February 5, 1926 in Chicago. Elaine worked as a Hairdresser & Cosmetologist and even taught in the Beauty Schools. Survivors include her children: Leonard (Sally) Warwick and Robyn (Ken) Huffar. Elaine is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeannie (Tom) Handtman and Guy Pineda along with her great granddaughters: Paige, Nicole and Jenna.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Mackie on September 11, 1993 and her eight siblings. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will follow in the Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago. Visitation will be held on Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
