Flora C. Bracken, 87, of Johnstown, formerly of Clyde, went home on July 1, 2006, at LaurelWood Convalescent Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1918, in West Wheatfield Township, the daughter of the late G.E. and Vernie Roser Mack.
She was a lifetime member of Germany United Methodist Church and a member of the Red Hat Association, Farm Women of Johnstown, and the Armagh and Laurel Valley Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hixson; a daughter-in-law, Doris, wife of William Horner, all of Johnstown; grandchildren Sharon Reed and husband Scott, Warrenton, Va.; Kenneth and wife Paula, Indiana; James and wife Lisa, Florida; Rhonda Rudnik, Johnstown; Richard Hixson and wife Angela, Clyde; and Aimee Sutton and husband David, Johnstown;
Also 13 great-grandchildren; one unborn great-great-grandson; a lifelong friend, Geneva Blough; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.D. "Pete" Bracken; a son, Ronald; and brothers Collins and Kenneth Mack.
A service was held Wednesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh, with the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper officiating.
Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.
