Graveside services for life-long Davis resident Rhoda Marie Anderson were May 31 at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anderson, 76, was born June 5, 1917 at Davis and died May 28 at her home. Her parents were John Thomas and Rhoda (Russell) Mabry. She married Nelson Anderson on September 18, 1939 at Sulphur. He preceded her in death June 11, 1989.

Survivors are three sisters, Thelma Smith of Paoli and Winnie Robbins and Dorothy Masters, both of Davis, two brothers, Carl Mabry of Davis and John "Bud" Mabry of Corning, California, and several nieces and nephews.

I shall never forget the kindness Mrs. Anderson showed Judy and me when we had an accident in front of her house on Hwy 77 in 1965. She and Mr. Anderson came to the aid of two scared kids.
