Services for Rev. Donald L. Mabe, 72, Highlandville, were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harris Chapel in Ozark with the Rev. John Bilyeu officiating. Burial was in the Highlandville Cemetery. Mr. Mabe died at 1 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Hospital, Springfield after an illness of three months.

Mr. Mabe, an ordained Baptist minister, pastored churches at Pleasant View in Stone County and First Central, Garrison and Fairview, all in Christian County. He also drove the school bus for the Highlandville Spokane School District for 33 years and formerly was a farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; six sons, Max of Highlandville, Bob of Branson; Bill and Jim, both of Nixa and Lyle of Ozark all of whom are members of the Baldknobbers country music group) and Cletus of Wichita, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline McCafferty and Mrs. Sharon Michael, both of Highlandville, Mrs. Margie Blansit and Mrs. Nancy Carter, both of Nixa and Mrs. Joan Bilyeu, Spokane; a sister, Mrs. Lynn Craig, Santa Cruz, Calif.; 33 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
