Phyllis Jean (Lynn) Adams, 81, of West Covina, CA, passed away August 19, 2005, at her home with her family at her side. She was born Phyllis Jean Lynn at St. Vincents Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, on August 31, 1923. She is the daughter of Earl Warwick Lynn of California and Flora Victoria Banks of Kansas, who were married on January 23, 1922, in Los Angeles, CA.

Phyllis grew up in Southern California and was a graduate of Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, CA. She lived on North Huntley Drive in West Hollywood with her parents and sister, Barbra Ann Lynn (b.1929).

She met her future husband, John Quincy Adams, when he was on leave during WWII. Phyllis and John were married on the east coast in 1945. They settled in Los Angeles and moved to the east San Gabriel Valley city of West Covina in 1957 with their three sons.

Phyllis earned a nursing degree from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. She was the supervisor of nurses for Magan Medical Clinic in Covina, CA, and later the Ross Loss Medical Clinic in West Covina, CA.

Preceded in death by her husband John, she is survived by her three sons and a sister. She also has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
