Her position with the Medical Society enabled her to continue friendships with longtime friends of both she and her husband while making many new friends. Being with her grandchildren and then with her great grandchildren along with her customary Beefeater martini kept her young and vital. She was a generous and loving person who spent extensive time with her grandchildren traveling and shopping. She enjoyed her later years in life with the support from her daughter "Little Ad".
