Inez, a native of Lexington, where she graduated from high school and moved to Gulfport, Miss., where she and her father were in business at Atlas Van Lines.

In 1961, she met and married Ted Batson, a young Air Force officer from North Carolina. Inez loved to travel with her husband. She lived in many locations including Tokyo, Japan, Kadena, Okinawa.
