CHESAPEAKE—Margaret L. Alexander Luke, 86, of the 400 block of Oaklette Drive, went to be with the Lord on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas & Elonise Holmes Alexander & widow of the late Samuel Earl Luke. A retired computer operator with the Norfolk Naval Supply Center, she was a member of Indian River Baptist Church, its Merrymakers Senior Group & the Senior Choir. Surviving are three sons, Samuel E. Luke, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Chesapeake; Marvin K. Luke of Broken Arrow, OK; & Douglas B. Luke (Diane) of Chesapeake; 3 grandchildren, Melina Ann McPherson & her husband, Stephen & Robert Earl Luke & his wife, Jenni, all of Chesapeake; & Dana Michelle Luke of Manassas, VA; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a special friend & companion, Bob Hughes; 5 sisters, Mildred Williams of Suffolk; Catherine Lankford of Virginia Beach; Elma Tyler & her husband, Ernie of Norfolk; Dorine Straub & her husband, Ray of Salem, VA; & Juanita Campbell & her husband, Donald of Medford Lakes, NJ; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Luke of Richland, WA; & Viva Stallings & her husband, Ray of Hobbsville, NC; a brother-in-law, Enoch Yeager & his wife, Elizabeth of Manassas, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin R. Alexander.
