STEELEVILLE -- Irma Ebers, 84, passed away at 9:08 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Chester Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born July 19, 1927, in Jackson County, the daughter of Charles A. and Mae E. Isom Lueher.
Irma married Elmer A. Ebers on Friday, Oct. 28, 1949, in Perryville, Mo. Elmer preceded her in death March 14, 2011.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville.
Irma is survived by her son, Steven J. Ebers of Steeleville; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Sabrina; and one sister, Barbara Lampe of Campbell Hill.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with the Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
