LUCY, Cassandra Ann Dewsbury, 76, of Henrico, Va., passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother "Nannie."
She was born January 21, 1939 in Huntington, W.Va. to the late Robert John and Virginia Priddy Dewsbury.
Ann loved singing in her church choir and being a Stephen's minister.
In later life, she enjoyed her handmade card mission to all who needed a bright reminder.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of over 56 years, Carlton Henry Lucy; daughters, Sharon Lucy Cook, Frances Suzette Lucy Yadali (Shazad), Sarah Virginia Lucy Clatterbuck (Todd); sons, L. Scott Lucy and Stephen Dewsbury Lucy (Brenda); sister, Vicky Dewsbury (Bob Martenis); brother, Robert John Dewsbury IV; grandchildren, Justin, Corey (Kristen), Nicole, Eric, ChelseaAnn, Elaina, Matthew, Austin, Joshua and Sierra; as well as many loving nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Dee Brannon and Ann Tucker; and the many angels that she nurtured into adults, Mason, Ashley, Abbi, A.J., Lucas, Peyton, Taylor, Matthew and David.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen, Va. 23060, where a funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 9155 Hungary Rd., Henrico, Va. 23294 or your favorite charity.
