Frances Lucero Gallegos was born on July 2, 1966 to the late Moises and Floripa M. Lucero.
Frances was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Michael J. Montoya and Tommy Martínez, paternal and maternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles and her later father-in-law, Ernest Gallegos.
Frances leaves behind her boyfriend, Phillip Tafoya, five children, Jeremy Lucero, Annamarie Maés, Steven Gallegos, Kendra Gallegos and Andrea Gallegos of the family home. Also surviving her are four sisters, Neddie Romero and her husband, Mike of Hobbs, NM, Priscilla Lucero, Nora Martínez and Isabel Lucero all of Las Vegas, NM, three brothers, Fred Lucero and his wife, Melissa, Moises Lucero Jr. and his wife, Lucy and Richard Lucero, all of Las Vegas, NM, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, cousins. Also surviving her is Lupe Maés, father of her two oldest children, Steve Gallegos, father of her three youngest children, mother-in-law, Carmen Gallegos, two sister-in-laws, Ernestine Gallegos, Margarita Salazar and her husband, Aaron all of Las Vegas, NM.
Rosary devotional services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funderal services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will be at San José Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following serving as casket bearers, Moises Lucero Jr., Richard Lucero Sr., Phillip Tafoya, Jeremy Lucero, Richard Lucero Jr. and Nick Lucero. Serving as honorary bearers will be Steve Gallegos and all her children.
