Margaret Benavidez, age 58, a resident of Casa Colorada, NM, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 after fighting cancer for two and a half years. For 21 years she was the postmaster in Bosque, NM, where she loved her customers and her work. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Antonio Jose Benavidez, Sr.; her children, Michael Ramirez, Felicia Herold, Antonio Benavidez, Jr., and Joyce Benavidez; nine grandchildren; her mother, Felicitas Lucero; her brothers and sisters, Phil Lucero, Leonard Lucero, Deluvina Lopez, Raymond Lucero, Lillian Lucero, Delora Cordova, Leroy Lucero, Gabriel Lucero, and Debra Lucero. With love in your heart, you always had time to be there for us in whatever we needed. These wonderful memories will endure in us forever. Thank you Margaret, We love you so much. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church beginning with a viewing on Sunday, May 21 from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will take place on Monday from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Monday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Lucero, Danny Shaw, Ronald Vigil, Steven Gonzales, Orlando Lucero, and Charles Montoya.
