Donna Delin Luce of Everett, Wash., formerly of Eugene, died March 23 of cancer. She was 72.
Donna was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Fargo, N.D., to Wilmer and Elsie Carlson Nelson. She married James Luce on March 22, 1952.
Her family moved to Everett in 1937 and she graduated from Everett High School in 1950.
She and her family lived in Eugene from 1966 until 1976, when they returned to settle in Everett.
She worked at the Bon Marche in Eugene. She was later employed with Boeing for 15 years and retired in 1995.
She was an active member of the Assistance League in Everett and served as chairwoman of Operation School Bell in the late 1990s.
She enjoyed University of Washington football games and will be remembered for her strong and enthusiastic supporting voice. She especially enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dan of Lakewood, Wash.; two daughters, Diane Thomas of Seattle and Kristine Collins of Menlo Park, Calif.; a brother, Bill Nelson of Eugene; and four grandchildren.
Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood, Wash., was in charge of arrangements.
