Mary Evelyn Lucas, 74 year-old resident of Jay, Oklahoma, died February 13, 2009, in Grove, Oklahoma. Born March 18, 1934 in Delaware County, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Martin Floyd Duncan and Edna Cole Duncan. She lived most her life in the Mosley community of Delaware County, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria at John Brown University. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Audrey Shawver and husband Vincent; two brothers, Clyde Duncan and Ervin Duncan and wife Zelma Duncan.
Survivors include her husband Myron; one son, Dwayne Lucas and wife Marquetta of Gentry, Arkansas; Two daughters, Janet Shelley and husband Jerral of Colcord, Oklahoma, Tracy Hance and husband Buddy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law Frances Duncan; six Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 16, 2009, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Larry Ellis and James Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery, near West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
