CALDWELL—Services for Homer Lowe, 59, of Caldwell, route 6, who died Monday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Harold N. Nye will officiate, assisted by Chaplain John Frazee of Boise. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
Mr. Lowe was born March 4, 1901, in Perry, Iowa, and moved with his parents to Mount Vernon, S. D., in 1909. He entered World War I on Jan. 29, 1918, and was a member of the 103rd Air Squadron, attached to the Lafayette Escadrille, the only American flying unit cited by the French government. He returned home March 3, 1919, and was a member of the Flying Circus and on a Victory Bond drive, which toured the south. He lived in Mount Vernon until coming to Idaho in 1924. He was married June 1, 1931, to Eldora Campbell and was employed by the Idaho Egg Producers for 33 years.
He was a member of the Old Timers club of Boise lodge 310, BPOE, and the First Methodist church.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Lowe are five brothers, Joseph of Payette, John of Nampa, Howard of Boise, Harley of Ashland, Ore., and Leon Lowe of Twin Falls; four sisters, Lena Lowe and Mrs. W. O. Bragstad, both of Boise, Mrs. Gill Boatman of Big Piney, Wyo., and June Lowe of Portland.
