She was born June 14, 1920, at Banida, Idaho, to Hugh Lester Geddes and Lydia Doney Lowe. She was raised and attended schools in the Preston area, graduating from Preston High School. She then attended Montana State College.
On May 4, 1941, she married V. T. "Rick" Erickson in Pocatello. He died June 27, 1993.
She worked for the Mountain Bell Telephone Co. and as a medical secretary. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She volunteered as a cook for the needy and loved to take care of the poor.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Rick Erickson of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Lydia Kay Edwards of Meridian; two brothers, Irel Geddes of Pocatello, and Garth Geddes of Salt Lake City, Utah; four sisters, Grace Jorgensen of Bountiful, Utah, Jennie Bon Rowe of Boise, Lucille Leavitt of Idaho Falls, and Ora Marstella of Layton, Utah; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
