Obituary -
Donna Sue Lowery was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Jan 21, 1962 to Leola Harris (Lowery) and Don Lowery. She is survived by her parents Don and Leola Lowery. Her daughter Jamie Dawn Needham-Hatley and her husband Jeremy, her sisters Sandra Wood and her husband Marc of Glenpool and Cindy Mize of Wagoner and a brother Randy Joe Harris of Sapulpa, She had two nieces Faith Wood of Jenks and Ricki Gill-Ramsey and husband Adam of Tulsa. And great nephew Dageon Ramsey and several other extended family and wonderful friends. Donna is preceded in death by her grandparents; Walker and Loma Lowery and Delmar and Elsie Harris and an older sister Deborah Lowery- Gill and many other family members and friends. Donna was an adventurous child who grew into a woman that one could never forget. She never met a stranger. She was the rock that everyone counted on for advice, help, and love. She graduated from Daniel Webster high school in 1981. Soon after she tried many different professions including Welding school, C.N.A, and a Horse Women. After a few years she found her calling in the drug alcohol and mental health fields. She got her start at 12 and 12 in Tulsa. After a few years she found a new job with the Mental Health Association of Tulsa. This company was a godsend to Donna. They gave her a chance to shine. She had found her true passion in life to help struggling folks succeed. If she couldn't help her client, she made it her mission to find a solution that would work for them. Her favorite topic in life was her daughter Jamie Dawn. She was so proud her daughter was in college to be a teacher. A few days before she died, she had told her mom that the only thing she would miss by dying would be that she wouldn't get to see her daughter's classroom. She was her daughter's hero and best friend. During her daughter's childhood she acted as a mother to all of Jamie's friends. She was always there to give advice, love and a good scolding if needed. She also helped raise her niece Ricki when her older sister got sick in 1995. She always loved her as her own. She loved going to church, singing songs, and serving God. In the past few years Donna began a celebration recovery meeting at her church. She loved being with her church family and felt like she had a great calling on her life. Donna's hobbies included fishing, camping, and painting ceramics, riding horses and adopting every stray animal in town. She loved to go camping and to be on a fishing bank. Her proudest fishing moment was when she went fishing with her buddy. She caught a 70 lb. catfish on jug line. She couldn't believe it. She will be missed dearly but we are comforted that she is with Jesus in heaven today. The family of Donna Lowery would like to express their sincere "Thanks You" to everyone for their thoughts and prayers and all acts of kindness shown during this time of loss. We Love You All!
