Funeral services for Jana Sue Lovelace, 65, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 at the Colvert Ministry Center of the First Methodist Church with Reverend Dan Patman officiating. Interment will follow at Easthill Cemetery, Roff, Oklahoma.

The daughter of the late Victor Vallery Jr. and Lottie Flo (Bunyard) Vallery, Jana was born on Sept. 22, 1949 in Ada and passed away at her Ardmore residence with family by her side.

An Ardmore resident for past 43 years, Jana moved here from Ada. Growing up in Ada, Jana graduated from Ada High School where she was a member of the band. Jana continued her education and received her Bachelor’s of Science from East Central University. She and Larry Lovelace were married on Sept. 18, 1971 in Ada and recently just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.

After moving to Ardmore, Jana was employed as an elementary teacher with the Ardmore Public Schools for the next 25 years. She had taught at Charles Evans Elementary. Jana was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, Ardmore Retired Educators, First Methodist Church and the Friends Sunday School Class. Jana loved her family and spending time with her grandsons.

Survivors include her loving husband: Larry of the home; daughters, Valerie Lee Forsythe and husband Josh of Shawnee, Okla., twins, Mandy Dawn Roberts and husband Jason of Wilson and Melody Jo Johnson and husband Brandon of Midwest City, Okla.; grandsons, Dallen Forsythe, Dayton Forsythe, Denton Forsythe, Austin Johnson, Caleb Johnson and Cooper Roberts. Preceded in death by her parents, Lottie and Victory Vallery.

Pallbearers will be: Debbie Hare, Linda Schroder, Lucinda Hull, Vicki Brimer, Jane Mowbray and Cindy Johnson. Honorary bearers will be: friends Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home

Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
