A memorial service for Annie Julia Love, a North Portland homemaker and retired certified nursing assistant, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes. Vault interment will be in River View Cemetery.
Mrs. Love died Saturday of complications of a heart attack in a local hospital. She was 61.
She was born in Buena Vista, Ga., on March 7, 1929, and had lived in Portland for 15 years. Her husband, Douglas Love Sr., died Sept. 7, 1980. Her maiden name was Harmon.
Mrs. Love worked as a nursing assistant for Parkview Convalescent Hospital in Portland from 1976 until health problems forced her retirement in July. She was a member of Columbia Park-Kingdom of Jehovah Witnesses.
She is survived by a daughter, Juliette Lasley, Portland; son, Douglas Love Jr., Fairfield, Calif.; sisters, Adell Williams, Margie Thomas, Martha Ann Battle and Amy Lee Whitley, all of Columbus, Ga.; brothers, Obie Lee Harmon, Columbus, and David Harmon, Syracuse, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
