Ballard – Lossing


Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the manse of the First Presbyterian Church, Re. Ralph M. Criesman united in marriage Frank E. Ballard, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Miss Vera [Veva] E. Lossing, of Fargo, using the ring ceremony. Mr. Ballard is a mechanical engineer and will leave soon with his bride for Havana, Cuba, where he has several large contracts. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lossing, of Fargo.

DIEHL, VEVA RUTH, Lansing

 

A resident of Lansing since 1936, Mrs. Diehl was born March 5, 1901 in St. Clair; died July 31, 1995 at the age of 94. She retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Workman's Compensation.

Mrs. Diehl was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Ballard (1941) and Oscar S. Diehl (1974). Surviving are one daughter, Ilo (Hector) Regalado of Lansing; three step-children, Bruce Diehl of Bath, Margery Ackley of Federal Way, WA, and Virginia Schunke of Indiana; three grandchildren, Mary E. (James) Dougherty, Ruth E. Grant, both of Lansing, and Laura K. Ambrook of Ann Arbor; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Grant, Patrick, Erin and Kate Dougherty, all of Lansing.


Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fargo. There will be no visitation. The family is being served by the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel.
