BISCHOFF
Evelyn Long Bischoff, 93, a native of Bryson City, N.C., lifetime resident of Birmingham and part-time resident of Gulf Shores, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010.
She graduated from Woodlawn High School. She was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church and then St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth's Altar Sodality and an active volunteer with Alabama Grief Support Services. Her hobbies included sewing, needlework and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Delmar F. Bischoff; brother, James C. Long; sister, Mary Frances Kihlstrom; her parents, James and Josephine Long; and grandson, James J. Bischoff.
Survivors include four sons, Bill (Linda) Bischoff; Joe (Kathy) Bischoff of Foley; Ray (Patty) Bischoff and Jimmy (Bonnie) Bischoff of Pell City; two daughters, Janice M. Bischoff and Kathy B. (Fred) Kononchek; 11 grandchildren, Casey Bischoff, Adam Bischoff, Bryan Bischoff, Barrett Bischoff, Katie Bischoff Hagood, Tracy Bischoff, Joey Bischoff, Suzanna Bischoff Hill, Scarlett Bischoff, Christian Kononchek, Kevin Kononchek; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
