Mrs. Mary L. Blake of 184 East Main street, Brookville, passed away Monday, August 1, in Inman Convalescent Home in Brookville, as the age of 86 years. Bonr December 21, 1873 in Valier, she was the daughter of William and margaret (McClelland) London.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Blake had been a teacher in the DuBois schools in the third ward. On June 8, 1906, she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Blake. The ceremony was performed in Valier by Rev. Samuel Davies.

Having been a resident of Brookville for 56 years, Mrs. Blake participated in the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a life member of the Women's Soiety of Christian Service. She was also a member fo the Brookville Methodist Church.

Mrs. Blake is survived by one step-son, Paul A. Blake, Sr., of Brookville; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One son, Lawrence, and one daughter Elizabeth Templeton, preceded her in death, as did three brothers and four sisters.
