She was born March 13, 1920, in Martinsburg, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Fannie (Scutchall) London.
Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Butler and was a former member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla.
She and her husbands were joint owners of the Aljuron Poultry Farm and Mobile Home Park in Prospect and she partnered with her husband in their family farm business.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their motorcycle all across the United States.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dwight William Allerton, who she married June 3, 1939; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Judith) Raisley of Harmony; one son, Ron (Sherry) Allerton of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Howard Allerton; one grandson, David Raisley; and two brothers, John and Glenn London.
Friends of Frances "Sally" Sarah Allerton, who died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, will be received at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Fisher of Homecare Chapel officiating and Pastor Jeffrey Gwilt of First Baptist Church assisting.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
