Edward Henry Loewenstein resided at 1912 Timea Street at the time of his death. For thirty years he had been employed by S. Hamill Company and most of the time worked out of his home. He was well known over the state by the traveling man and merchants in many Iowa and Missouri towns he visited. He was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Church. He was a member of the Herman Lodge No. 106 of the Odd Fellows and also a member of the T. P. A. and U. C. T., traveling nens' associations.

He was the son of William and Barbara Loewenstein. He married Miss Minnie R. Shulz of Keokuk on Sep 3, 1890 who survived him
