DURAND, Mary Ann (Age 85) Passed peacefully from this life January 05, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born on November 23, 1931 to George and Anna (Rosalia) Loan in Spokane, WA. Mary Ann graduated from North Central High School then went on to matriculate from Dental Nurses Training School in San Francisco. For several years she worked as a dental hygienist as well as working for Metropolitan Life in Spokane.

However, Mary Ann found her true calling as wife and mother. She was the heart, soul, and strength to her family, and it was family that meant so very much to her. Mary Ann's parents meant the world to her and they taught her to be a Christian, to be a compassionate role model, and to live life by the Golden Rule. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Nancy (Ron) Mason of Rathdrum, ID; son David Durand of Spokane, WA; two grandchildren, Ronnie and Robbie; and a sister Doris (Pat) Carley of Spokane, WA.

Funeral Service is at 11:30 A.M. Monday, January, 16 2017, at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment at Fairmount Memorial Park. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the pet rescue organization of your choice.
