Leah Levada Litherland was the daughter of George Ogle and Sarah Jane (Fite) Litherland. She married first Thomas Newton Buchanan, the son of James A. and Rebecca Jane Potts) Buchanan, on December 23, 1894 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1895. She married second Earl Leighty, the son of Hannibal Hamlin and Sarah Elizabeth (Prout) Leighty, on November 17, 1902 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1956.
