AIKEN, SC – Mr. Charles Lane Lineberry, 83, of Aiken, SC, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mr. Lineberry lived in Aiken during the 1960's and 1970's and returned to Aiken in 2003. He was a native of Virginia and proudly served his country in the United States Army. While in Aiken, Mr. Lineberry was employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation in Personnel Administration; he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joan McCraw Lineberry; a son and daughter-in-law, Colin and Alice Lineberry, Austin, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Kurt Marquardt, Elgin, IL; grandchildren, Travis Lineberry, Matthew Lineberry, Faith Marquardt, Anna Marquardt, and Adam Marquardt; two brothers and spouses, Byron and Frances Lineberry, Lynchburg, VA and Roger and Nancy Lineberry, Longview, TX.
Mr. Lineberry was preceded in death by his parents, Berlin Byron Lineberry and Lula Howlett Lineberry, and a brother, Warren Lineberry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Galax, VA.
Memorial donations may be directed to the First Christian Church Benevolence Fund, 402 North Jefferson St., Galax, VA 24333.
