John "Jack" A. Lind, age 87, Saturday, September 22, 2001. Born November 3, 1913 Chattanooga, Tn. Retired from Columbus Board of Education 1976. Attended Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga, Tn. Graduated St. Mary High School, Columbus, Ohio 1934. Played football at Ohio State 1935 and 1936. Avid golfer, past club champion Black Hawk Golf Club, Minerva Lake Golf Course and Pine Hill Golf Club. Preceded in death by mother and father Elizabeth and Edward Lind; brothers Richard, James and Joseph; sisters Catherine E. Morbitzer and Juliana L. Shaw. Survived by very close friends, Lee and Jim Mangia, David and Marty Francisco, Patty and Dave Craft. Friends received Monday 5-8 p.m. at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:30 a.m. Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond, Celebrant.
